Job summary

Blis Digital seeks a Lead Engineer to design technical solutions and architecture for complex client challenges, steering AI agents as the primary building tool. You will translate prototypes into clear build scopes and work directly with clients to define scope and estimates.

You will lead 3–5 engineers, coach less experienced team members, and contribute to the CTO office while ensuring pragmatic, secure, and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Extensive, demonstrable experience (10+ years) as a software engineer.
• Experience coaching and technically guiding developers or engineers.
• Strong architecture ownership and safeguarding consistent patterns.
• Ability to make decisions amid uncertainty and complexity.
• Ability to justify technical choices to non-technical clients.
• Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps).
• Good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Bachelor's HBO+ level of working and thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions and architecture for complex client challenges.
• Steer AI agents as the primary building tool and translate prototypes into build scope.
• Regularly meet with clients to discuss scope and estimates and build the AI-native story.
• Ensure solutions remain pragmatic and fit client language and budget constraints.
• Lead 3–5 engineers, coach them, and contribute to the CTO office.
