Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) invites interns to join the Galileo System Engineering MBSE team in Noordwijk, NL. You will work on AI-for-Systems Engineering (AI4SE) using MBSE models, connecting requirements, simulations, tests and field data to enable advanced analytics and decision support.

The role blends systems engineering with data science in a dynamic space program. Requirements include being a Master’s student enrolled for the full internship duration, with proficiency in English or French

Qualifications

• Must be a university student, preferably in final or second-to-last year of Master’s studies.
• Must be enrolled for the entire duration of the internship.
• Knowledge of Satellite Radionavigation, data science or artificial intelligence is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Exploring AI4SE (AI-for-Systems Engineering) approaches in the Galileo MBSE model context.
• Define and implement practical use cases where AI/ML enable the MBSE system model to query, expand, and connect to databases (requirements, simulations, test results, configuration, field measurements).
• Develop AI/ML tools, methodologies, scripts and digital threads to support these capabilities.
