Flow Traders is building a new AI team within Data and AI and seeks an Engineering Manager to lead it, focusing on delivery, growth, culture and hiring while collaborating with technical leads on architecture and execution.

You will translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions, own the AI roadmap, coach engineers, drive performance and ensure timely delivery aligned with company goals.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and roadmaps.
• Experience translating business needs into technical deliverables.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of growing engineers and managing performance.
• Ability to balance scope, quality and timelines in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand business processes and identify AI-enabled opportunities.
• Turn ideas into live AI solutions with clear business impact and metrics.
• Own the AI roadmap and prioritize work to align with company goals.
• Coach engineers, plan career development and conduct performance conversations.
• Lead hiring, headcount planning and allocate resources effectively.
• Maintain team health, morale and productivity; address conflicts early.
• Hold regular one-on-ones, give timely feedback and foster team building.
• Translate requirements into delivery plans and flag dependencies and risks.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Trading and Quant teams on design and rollout of AI solutions.
• Track progress, manage risks and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve delivery speed and processes.
• Align with company goals and work with Tech Leads on strategic direction.
