Job summary

DAF Trucks N.V. is seeking an AI Engineer for Vehicle Development to accelerate AI adoption within Product Development. You will design, deploy AI solutions, and transform engineering challenges into AI-driven workflows.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Testing, Validation, and Program Management, focusing on data security, governance, and measurable value. A one-year contract with extension prospects and hybrid working options is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or IT.
• Proven experience with AI technologies and platforms such as Snowflake, SharePoint, AWS, Open WebUI, Copilot Studio, or GitHub Copilot.
• Hands-on experience developing AI solutions, agents, workflows, and prompt engineering within a product development environment.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI solutions and automated workflows using PACCAR AI Studio and modern platforms.
• Bridge AI technology with business teams by translating engineering needs into AI tools.
• Establish and maintain a prioritized pipeline of AI use cases and innovation ideas with stakeholders.
• Coach colleagues to raise internal AI capabilities and foster adoption.
• Govern AI initiatives in line with PACCAR standards, ensuring data security and measurable business value.
