Qualifications

Job Description

Winparts is looking for an AI Engineer to help build the technical foundation of its future AI platform. You will develop AI agents and AI-driven applications and bring them from prototype to secure, reliable, scalable production solutions. Working with the Data Science & AI, IT and Security teams, you will integrate AI into internal systems and processes to improve employee efficiency, customer service and business growth. The role is hybrid and based in Groningen, the Netherlands.

Job requirements

HBO or university-level thinking and working proficiency, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a related field.
Experience with software development, cloud technology or data solutions.
Programming experience, preferably with Python.
Knowledge of APIs, integrations and modern software development.
Affinity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or comparable environments.
Interest in Generative AI, AI agents, large language models and modern AI platforms.
Affinity with data and data-driven working methods.
Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and a proactive mindset.
Ability to develop AI agents and applications, integrate them with systems and data sources, and design reusable, scalable components.
Ability to implement monitoring, logging and evaluation, while optimizing performance, reliability, security, compliance and costs.
Willingness to collaborate across disciplines, communicate technical concepts clearly and continuously explore new AI technologies.
Preferred: experience with Azure AI, Vertex AI, OpenAI or similar platforms; RAG, vector databases, AI agents, CI/CD, workflow automation or e-commerce.
