Job summary

Marktlink Fusies & Overnames B.V. in Amsterdam is hiring an AI Engineer to design and develop AI-driven solutions for M&A professionals. You will own projects from idea to live deployment, building multi-agent systems and integrating AI with internal data.

You will work on end-to-end AI projects, develop RAG pipelines, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure production-grade, secure, and scalable outcomes while staying abreast of AI advances.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Econometrics or comparable field.
• Fluency in Dutch is required.
• Strong Python skills; understand and debug code.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and connecting AI to internal data.
• Familiar with AI-coding agents and ability to assess generated code.
• Basic Git knowledge; CI/CD, API integrations or Azure is a plus.
• Analytically strong and able to explain technical choices clearly to both engineers and non-technical colleagues.
• Curious, proactive and pragmatic in a fast-changing environment.

Your responsibilities

• Build multi-agent systems that communicate with users and connect to internal systems;
• Work on AI projects end to end, from brainstorming features and building the business case to developing, testing, deploying and continuously improving the solution.
• Develop RAG pipelines with vector embeddings to make our knowledge and data safely accessible;
• Translate business needs into concrete technical solutions and align on priorities with your team and stakeholders;
• Choose the right technical approach per challenge;
• Make AI output measurable: build test sets and evaluate for accuracy, hallucinations, cost and latency;
• Bring solutions to production and keep them reliable, secure and maintainable;
• Track adoption, gather feedback and iterate based on real results;
• Stay sharp on new developments in AI and bring relevant ideas back to the team.

Requirements

Your profile

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Econometrics or a comparable field. Preferably recently graduated or with your first work experience;
• Fluency in Dutch is required;
• Strong Python skills: you understand your code and debug it when things break;
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and connecting AI to internal data. Either via RAG, tool use or MCP;
• Familiar with AI-coding agents and able to assess generated code critically;
• Basic Git knowledge; experience with CI/CD, API integrations or Azure (Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry) is a plus;
• Analytically strong and able to explain technical choices clearly to both engineers and non-technical colleagues;
• Curious, proactive and pragmatic, you feel at home in an environment where the landscape shifts fast.
