Job summary

Nationale-Nederlanden is seeking an AI Business Translator to bridge mortgage operations and AI capabilities. You will identify opportunities, shape AI use cases, and lead adoption, ensuring practical value and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent working and thinking level.
• 4-5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, product management, digital transformation, or consulting, preferably within financial services or a regulated environment.
• Experience at the intersection of business and technology, collaborating effectively across domains.
• Lead shaping of complex use cases from problem definition to adoption and impact measurement.
• Demonstrate business empathy and understanding of operational processes (mortgages).
• Translate business processes into clear requirements, including data mappings and AI orchestration.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to shape direction in a fast-evolving AI landscape.
• Ability to align with stakeholders without formal authority and drive cross-team alignment.
• Proactive ownership mindset and strong communication for tangible business impact.
• Preferably experience with AI/ML initiatives in a business lead or stakeholder role.
• Dutch language proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and shaping of AI opportunities with Product Owners, business teams, and process experts.
• Translate complex business challenges into clear, structured AI use cases and success criteria.
• Translate business processes into detailed requirements for AI-enabled solutions, including data mapping and orchestration.
• Provide input for prioritisation based on value, feasibility, and alignment.
• Design AI-enabled workflows, defining AI vs. human responsibilities and controls.
• Orchestrate end-user involvement, testing, implementation and adoption.
• Ensure compliance and risk requirements in collaboration with second line of defence.
• Track business value like time, quality, throughput, and customer impact.
• Drive continuous improvement and scale successful AI solutions.
• Act as sparring partner for product owners, business leads, and delivery teams.
