Job summary

Temper is building a new A&D team in Amsterdam to centralise data and automation. You’re the first hire, responsible for defining the team and its mandate, reporting to the CFO and collaborating with Commercial, Marketing, Support, Product and Finance.

Qualifications

• Experience building or substantially restructuring a small technical team.
• Strong technical grounding in a modern data stack (warehouse + transformation + BI).
• Real enthusiasm for AI/LLM tooling (Claude) as a core capability, not a bolt-on.
• Comfortable operating with genuine ambiguity and managing stakeholders.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a bonus, not a must.

Responsibilities

• Define needs across data infrastructure, data activation & development, and automation.
• Plot workload into roles and hire into those roles.
• Set the team’s operating model to be AI-native from day one.
