Job summary

HAL Allergy Group is seeking an Automation and Integration Engineer to lead automation, system integration, and AI initiatives within a GMP environment in Leiden. You will design, build, deploy, and maintain secure solutions that streamline workflows and improve data flows across the organization.

The role combines software development, system integration, and AI capabilities, collaborating with IT, Quality, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions with auditable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, automation, system integration, or related technical roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing AI-enabled business solutions.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications, digital workflows, integrations, and automation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation, integration, and AI initiatives.
• Analyze existing processes and define future-state solutions to increase efficiency and reduce complexity.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between business systems using APIs, middleware, and Azure Integration Services.
• Build data and system integrations to enable reporting, automation, and AI-driven capabilities.
• Develop automation solutions using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and RPA technologies.
• Transform manual processes into streamlined digital workflows.
• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and machine learning solutions embedded within business processes.
• Implement and support secure AI solutions in cloud, private, or on-prem environments.
• Support IT-OT interfaces and collaborate with Engineering and Automation teams.
• Apply IaC and DevOps to build scalable, repeatable, auditable solutions.
• Deliver training, documentation, and knowledge transfer for adoption.
• Manage full solution lifecycle from discovery to deployment and support.
• Ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
