Job summary

MAT Research in Leiden, Netherlands seeks an Automation Scientist with a strong foundation in Immunology and Biotechnology to drive automation across R&D and manufacturing. You will lead strategic automation efforts, manage AutoMATR systems, and ensure data integrity for automated assays, including ELISA and PBMC-related work.

The role is on-site with travel as needed and emphasizes cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Robotics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Automation, Biophysics or related field with ≥2 years post-graduate experience.
• Living in the Netherlands near Leiden or willing to relocate soon.
• Solid background in Immunology, Engineering, Automated Sciences, or related fields with hands-on assay development.
• Proficient in data analysis software and quality management systems; experience with PBMC isolations and ELISA is a plus.
• Programming experience in Python and/or R; familiar with data science tools and automation scripting.
