Job summary

ING is seeking an AI Agent Security Threat Analysis Expert to help design and implement the Insider Threat programme with a strong emphasis on AI agent monitoring and UEBA capabilities. You will translate security best practices into practical monitoring and governance solutions within the CTM team.

The role requires collaboration with SOC, Fraud, IT Security, Risk, Legal and HR, and involves stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and PoC activities.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience with cybersecurity principles, preferably in Insider Threat and/or Detection
  • 3–5 years of AI experience
  • Experience with AI agent monitoring and related security capabilities
  • Familiarity with UEBA, SIEM and analytics tools
  • Experience with European financial services regulatory environment

AI Agent Security Threat Analysis Expert

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in complex financial environments, monitoring its behaviour brings new security challenges. As an AI Agent Security Threat Analysis Expert at ING, you will help address these challenges by contributing to the design and implementation of ING’s Insider Threat programme. With a strong focus on AI agent monitoring, you will help develop the policies, governance and security capabilities needed to identify and manage potential risks.

The team

You will join ING’s Cyber Threat Management (CTM) team, a central capability within the CISO domain focused on intelligence-driven, proactive defence.

The team works closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, Fraud, IT and senior leadership across the bank.The working environment is collaborative, analytical and outcome-driven, combining deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to help ING stay ahead of emerging cyber threats in a rapidly changing geopolitical and digital landscape.

Your role

As an AI Agent Security Threat Analysis Expert, you will play a pivotal role in the design and hands-on implementation of the Insider Threat programme, with a strong focus on AI agent monitoring, User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA), governance, tool evaluation and stakeholder engagement. You will help translate AI security best practices into practical monitoring capabilities and support their implementation within ING.

Your responsibilities include:

Insider Threat Programme
  • Coordinate stakeholder workshops and interviews to gather requirements for the monitoring of AI agents.
  • Define and support the development of policies, procedures and playbooks for AI agent monitoring.
  • Help define and implement best practices for AI agent monitoring, including the monitoring and analysis of prompts.
  • Take a hands-on role in translating AI security requirements into practical monitoring capabilities.
  • Contribute to programme tracking, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Support the further design and implementation of the Insider Threat programme.
Governance & oversight
  • Support the design and implementation of Insider Threat governance, including steering committees and expert groups.
  • Support the development of policies and standards for the Insider Threat programme.
  • Help create KPIs, risk metrics and governance reporting.
  • Support the evaluation and comparison of UEBA tools.
  • Coordinate RFP/RFI processes, vendor demonstrations and evaluations.
  • Assist in defining functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Support Proof of Concept (PoC) activities and the definition of evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across SOC, Fraud, IT Security, Risk, Legal, HR and the Workers Council to ensure aligned operational processes.
  • Prepare executive updates, meeting materials and summaries.
  • Track key actions, risks and dependencies.
  • Support and train employees on AI monitoring practices, relevant security risks and best practices.

What you bring

For this senior position, we are looking for someone with:

  • 6–10 years of experience with cybersecurity principles, ideally within Insider Threat and/or Detection.
  • 3–5 years of AI experience.
  • Strong understanding ofStrong understanding of AI agent monitoring, combined with hands-on experience implementing AI-related monitoring or security capabilities.
  • Familiarity with UEBA, SIEM or security analytics tools.
  • Experience and knowledge of the European financial services regulatory environment.
  • Experience working with HR and Legal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of governance, compliance and privacy frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
What we offer
  • A salary range of €5,677.70 to €6,504.00 gross per month, based on 36 hours per week and depending on experience.
  • Additional benefits, including holiday allowance, a 13th-month payment and pension contribution.
  • Freelance (ZZP) is also possible, with a maximum hourly rate of €96.
  • Hybrid working, with an expectation of being in the office on average two days per week.
