Job summary

ING is seeking a Tech Lead for Agentic Product Operations & Reliability to build and lead an engineering team responsible for running ING's agentic products at scale. You will establish a Run organization, ensure observability, security, and reliability across production, and drive automation and governance in collaboration with Product and Platform teams.

You will oversee production readiness, define SLOs/SLAs, and drive continuous improvement to deliver reliable, compliant AI-powered products

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience operating large-scale digital, cloud-native, automation, AI, or data-driven products in production.
• Experience building operational or reliability engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of observability, monitoring, incident management, and governance.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, agentic systems, or intelligent automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, distributed systems, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience in regulated environments with security, risk, and compliance controls.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into pragmatic operational capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of the Agentic Product Run capability and long-term operating model.
• Build and coach a high-performing engineering team focused on production operations and reliability.
• Define operational standards for observability, incidents, and platform health monitoring.
• Drive production readiness requirements for new products before production entry.
• Ensure agentic products meet SLOs, SLAs, KPIs, and dashboards.
• Define support and escalation models across product teams, countries, and platform teams.
• Lead RCA and continuous improvement to enhance reliability and outcomes.
• Drive automation of operational processes including monitoring and self-healing.
• Ensure compliance with ING security, risk, governance, and non-functional requirements.
• Partner with Product/Platform Engineering to embed operability from day one.
• Establish governance for AI model performance and human-in-the-loop operations.
• Create reusable run capabilities and patterns across product portfolio.
• Act as technical authority for operational excellence.

Artificial Intelligence is changing how ING delivers, operates, and continuously improves products. As Tech Lead for Agentic Product Operations & Reliability, you will build and lead the engineering capability responsible for running ING's next generation of agentic products at scale.

You will establish the Run organization for Agentic Products, ensuring AI-powered products are reliable, observable, compliant, secure, and continuously improving in production. Working at the intersection of AI, platform engineering, operations, and product delivery, you will help define how ING operates agentic systems across countries and business domains for years to come.

The team

You will be part of the Agentic Products Delivery organization within Data & Analytics. The team is responsible for operating, monitoring, supporting, and improving a growing portfolio of agentic products used across ING.

You will work closely with Product Engineering teams, Platform Engineering, Risk, Security, Architecture, Operations, and business stakeholders to establish the operational foundations required for scalable and reusable agentic product delivery.

We work in aBizDevOpsenvironment with end-to-end accountability for the reliability, performance, resilience, and continuous improvement of agentic products.

Roles and responsibilities

As Tech Lead, you will:

• Lead the establishment of the Agentic Product Run capability and define its long-term operating model.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on production operations, reliability, and service excellence.
• Define and implement operational standards for agentic products, including observability, incident management, problem management, support processes, and platform health monitoring.
• Drive production readiness requirements and ensure new products can be operated safely and efficiently before entering production.
• Make sure agentic products follow SLOs, SLAs, reliability targets, operational KPIs, and performance dashboards.
• Define support and escalation models across product teams, countries, and shared platform teams.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to improve product reliability, quality, and customer outcomes.
• Drive automation of operational processes including monitoring, alerting, self-healing capabilities, and operational analytics.
• Ensure compliance with ING security, risk, governance, and non-functional requirements.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Platform Engineering teams to embed operability, resilience, and supportability into product design from day one.
• Establish governance and operational controls for AI model performance, agent behavior, auditability, and human-in-the-loop operations.
• Build reusable run capabilities and operational patterns that can be applied consistently across the growing portfolio of agentic products.
• Act as the technical authority for operational excellence within the Agentic Products Delivery organization.
