Job summary

The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) is seeking a Researcher / PhD Candidate in agent-based modelling (ABM) on the circular economy. The role is a 0.8 FTE Junior Researcher position, jointly enrolled as a PhD candidate at TU Delft's TPM faculty.

The project runs for four years to develop a multi-level ABM linking micro-level behaviours to macro-level transitions, with interactive policy dashboards to examine repair incentives and right-to-repair cases, including e-bikes and washing

Qualifications

• Candidate should have an MSc in a quantitative field and affinity with simulation modelling or programming.
• ABM experience is a strong asset.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary settings and independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop a multi-level ABM linking micro-level decisions to macro-level transitions.
• Build interactive policy dashboards to explore scenarios like repair incentives and right-to-repair regulations.
• Conduct case studies focusing on e-bikes and washing machines.
• Collaborate across THUAS and TU Delft within CIVIC-4CE.
