Job summary

SII Netherlands is seeking a Stress Engineer with at least 3 years of aerospace experience to join our engineering team. You will perform stress analyses, FE modelling, and support design activities across primary and secondary structures within diverse projects for aerospace clients.

Ideal candidates hold an HBO engineering degree, have hands-on use of Patran, Nastran, Femap, and Abaqus, and can contribute to design verification, documentation, and interface loading calculations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of aerospace-related engineering experience.
  • HBO degree in engineering (aviation/aerospace or mechanical).
  • Proficient with Patran, Nastran, Femap and Abaqus.

Responsibilities

  • Stress support for conceptual and detail design of primary and secondary structures.
  • Finite element modelling / analyses for structural parts and assemblies.
  • Support to the design team for conceptual and detail design phases.
  • Static strength analyses.
  • Finite element analyses (linear and nonlinear).
  • Generate design specifications and requirements.
  • Implement design improvements.
  • Compile stress documentation.
  • Determine interface loads.
