Job summary

Airborne Aerospace is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to define and optimize quality processes for aerospace composite components. You will lead QA activities, implement inspection plans, and collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in QA within manufacturing or engineering, with English proficiency and a willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience in aerospace or composite production is an advantage.
• Familiarity with internal and external quality audits.
• Analytical and decision-making skills to assess complex quality issues and implement changes.
• Process-oriented mindset to set up and refine quality processes to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of inspection techniques and determining required inspections.
• Strong communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality integration.
• Proficient in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance plans within projects to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Define and implement inspection plans to determine necessary quality control steps.
• Ensure supply chain compliance by working with suppliers.
• Review and write Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and resolve issues.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Improve and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions.
• Act as the key quality liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Perform and support internal and external audits (e.g., AS9100).
