Advisor – Maritime Operations
Amsterdam, Netherlands | On-site
Responsibilities
- Strengthen Pathways' subject matter expert (SME) knowledge within core maritime processes, including Maintenance, Procurement, Inventory, Dry Docking, Projects, QHSSE, and Document Management.
- Facilitate and lead client workshops focused on process management, including process mapping, process improvement, and requirements gathering.
- Act as Pathways' “content” authority on core maritime processes.
- Apply industry best practices and help manage stakeholder expectations throughout the transformation journey.
- Bridge operational experience with client needs, helping stakeholders navigate change, and identify practical improvements.
- Contribute to improving project deliverables by ensuring solutions are operationally sound and aligned with industry’s best practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of core maritime processes, including Maintenance, Procurement, Inventory, Dry Docking/Projects, QHSSE, and Document Management.
- Operational experience from either sailing or shore-based maritime roles, such as Superintendent, Fleet Manager, Technical Manager, or similar.
- Experience with driving change and transformation within maritime organizations.
- Experience from system implementation in a maritime organization – for instance experience implementing Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor junior team members.
- Ability to work on-site with the client.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Dutch language skills (spoken and written) are considered an advantage.
