Job summary

TTEP Group is seeking an experienced Accounting & Tax Manager to lead a small team and report to the Group Finance Director. You will oversee IFRS consolidated accounts, enforce group accounting policies, and manage auditors across affiliates in Europe.

You will also drive the tax function for the group, aligning with Dutch and international regulations, and support operations with tax expertise while coordinating with shareholders and external advisers.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Completed university degree in Accountancy or Controlling and/or Fiscal Economics or Tax Law.
  • Strong analytical and advisory skills.
  • High level of English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare TTEP’s annual and quarterly consolidated accounts in accordance with IFRS.
  • Define and implement the group’s accounting policies via a financial reporting manual (IFRS).
  • Coordinate auditors and ensure reliability of statutory and tax accounts.
  • Lead and coordinate the tax function across the TTEP group and affiliates.
  • Develop and implement tax directives; manage tax risks and compliance.
  • Monitor audits and disputes; liaise with Dutch tax authorities and shareholders.

Job description

We are currently looking to strengthen our team, so we are searching for a new colleague- Accounting & Tax Manager- with enthusiasm for accounting and tax.

The Accounting & Tax Manager reports directly to the Group Finance Director of TTEP, leads a small team, and has interactions and influence across the TTEP’s affiliates and finance organisation in Europe, shareholders’ headquarters, external auditors, counsels and tax authorities.

Main responsibilities
  • Consolidated & holding statutory accounts.
  • IFRS standards expert + accounting support to M&A and business development.
  • Auditors’ relationship.
  • Deep knowledge of international tax (TTEP is international group with cross-borders flows related to tolling, financing).
Regarding the accounting section, the Accounting and Tax Manager:
  • Is responsible for preparing TTEP’s annual and quarterly consolidated accounts, and financial information distributed internally and externally by TTEP in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Defines and ensures the implementation of the group’s accounting policies, by developing and updating the framework of accounting principles formalized in a financial reporting manual (IFRS standards).
  • Ensures the proper application of accounting standards within the group, based on her/his IFRS standards expertise to coordinate accounting positions across affiliates and with the auditors.
  • Supervises the preparation of TTEP B.V. statutory and tax accounts, and ensures their reliability, compliance, and accuracy.
  • Coordinates the certification of the TTEP consolidated accounts and its subsidiaries by the statutory auditors.
  • Implements internal controls applicable to the processes under its responsibility
  • Is responsible for monitoring audit services and additional assignments carried out by the statutory auditors.
  • Defines and implements the information applications required for its duties, which are deployed as needed within the group’s entities.
Regarding the tax section, the Accounting and Tax Manager:
  • Leads and coordinates the tax function within TTEP group, in collaboration with the finance and tax departments of the affiliates and shareholders. It is systematically informed and consulted, prior to any decision, about actions likely to affect TTEP’s tax teams. It participates in recruitment and ensures the qualifications and proper use of tax staff, in coordination with the relevant departments.
  • Implements TTEP's tax policy, across all affiliates, by developing, updating and distributing directives or recommendations within her/his area of expertise.
  • Analyses and manages tax risks that may be associated with TTEP group’s operations, particularly in case of restructurings, acquisitions or disposals.
  • Secures and optimizes TTEP’s legal structures from a tax perspective, in strict compliance with applicable regulations and within the limits of the tax policy, in conjunction with the legal and affiliates operations departments of the affiliates and shareholders.
  • Assists TTEP group’s operational, business development and functional departments in matters of Dutch and international taxation and ensures that the relevant operations are compliant with local tax rules and the TTEP’s tax policy by mobilising all necessary support for the tax safety of operations carried out, notably the expertise provided by the shareholders.
  • Ensures compliance with tax obligations (both reporting and payment) incumbent upon TTEP B.V. as the head of the integrated tax group in Netherland.
  • Prepares tax forecasts and participates in the determination of deferred taxes. She / He assists in monitoring the tax aspects of routine operations (financing methods, financial flows, taxable base, taxes paid, etc.) of foreign entities, in coordination with local tax specialists whom it supports and supervises functionally, and with shareholders’ headquarters.
  • Monitors tax audits and disputes in the various Dutch and foreign subsidiaries, for which it must be informed, and particularly in the integrated Dutch companies where she/he acts as the project leader.
  • Coordinates relations with the Dutch tax authorities and other relevant agencies and services.
  • Carries out legal monitoring in Dutch and international taxation.
What we would need from you

At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.

A completed university degree in Accountancy or Controlling and/or Fiscal Economics or Tax Law.
