Convergint is seeking a Security Specialist to install, commission, program, test, service and maintain enterprise electronic security systems across customer sites. You’ll work independently on routine tasks and with guidance on complex assignments, delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
The role covers Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection, with emphasis on high-quality workmanship, documentation and customer experience.

The Security Specialist is responsible for the installation, commissioning, programming, testing, servicing, maintenance, and support of enterprise electronic security systems. Working independently on routine activities and with guidance on more complex assignments, the role delivers installationand service work across customer sites while ensuring projects are completed safely, to a high standard of quality, within budget, and in accordance with agreed schedules.
The Security Specialist works across both project installations and reactive/preventative service activities, providing technical expertise and delivering exceptional customer experience. The role supports the full lifecycle of enterprise security solutions, including Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection Systems.
1. Install, configure, program, commission and test enterprise electronic security systems, including
Access Control, IP CCTV, Video Management and Intrusion Detection Systems, in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer standards and applicable regulations.
2. Deliver project installations safely and efficiently by interpreting drawings, schematics and technical documentation, completing work to agreed quality standards, budgets and project schedules.
3. Perform preventative and reactive service activities, including fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance, firmware upgrades, system modifications and restoration of security systems to full operational performance.
4. Troubleshoot integrated security solutions, identifying and resolving hardware, software, networking and field device issues while escalating complex technical problems where appropriate and maintaining ownership through to resolution.
5. Provide exceptional customer support by building trusted relationships, delivering user training,
communicating professionally and consistently demonstrating Convergint's commitment to being Our Customer's Best Service Provider.
6. Maintain accurate documentation including commissioning records, service reports, testing results, maintenance documentation and project close-out information to support operational excellence and customer compliance.
7. Champion quality and safety by adhering to company policies, health and safety requirements, industry standards and best practices while maintaining a safe, organised and professional working environment.
8. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve installation methods, service delivery, productivity, quality and project profitability while sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
9. Take ownership of assigned work by managing priorities, maintaining company tools and
equipment, supporting Project Managers and colleagues, and ensuring every installation and service activity is completed to the highest professional standard.
