Job summary

ASML in the Netherlands is seeking a Process and 3D Integration Modeling Researcher to advance metrology, patterning and 3D integration within the Research department. You will conduct research, develop processing models for bonding, coating, polishing and plasma etching, and design wafer experiments to validate and calibrate these models, collaborating with engineers across ASML.

A PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, applied mathematics or electrical engineering is required, with

Qualifications

• PhD required in a relevant field and strong computational modeling background.
• Experience extracting simplified models from complex physical/chemical processes.
• Cleanroom fabrication or semiconductor processing experience preferred.
• Experience with ASML Overlay or Alignment analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Performing analysis with data from customer fabs and research fabs, identifying patterns and physical implications.
• Developing computational models for processing steps (bonding, coating, polishing, plasma etching) and planning validation experiments.
• Collaborating with domain experts and ASML engineers across departments and with process integration teams at fabs.
• Generating new ideas and innovative solutions for ASML’s metrology, patterning and 3D integration products.
