Job summary

iPS Powerful People (B Corp™) is seeking a 2nd Officer to operate on a Water Injection Dredger on a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off rotation. You will handle safe bridge watchkeeping, passage planning, and deck operations to keep the vessel moving.

Key responsibilities include voyage planning, navigational watch, chart corrections, and mentoring cadets for career progression toward Chief Mate, with a strong focus on maritime safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Voyage planning and safe navigation on a 2nd Officer level.
• Bridge equipment checks and navigation systems operation.
• Mentor junior deck cadets and advance to Chief Mate.

Step aboard a Water Injection Dredger on a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off rotation as a 2nd Officer! You’ll handle safe bridge watchkeeping, passage planning, and deck operations to keep the vessel moving.

To Thrive In This Role, You Need a Strong Commitment To Maritime Safety And Operational Excellence. Here Are The Key Requirements To Join Our Bridge Team:

• Plotting safe passages, managing the navigational watch on the bridge as a skilled 2nd Officer, and handling electronic chart systems.
• Overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance while leveraging great opportunities for career progression onboard.
• Holding a valid STCW II/1 CoC - Officer in charge of a Nav Watch and STCW IV/2 GMDSS General Operator's Certificate.
• Possessing STCW A-II/1 ECDIS, STCW VI/2 Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, and STCW VI/6-2 Designated Security Duties Training.
• Equipped with STCW VI/1 Basic Safety Training (covering Fire Prevention, Personal Survival, Elementary First Aid, and Social Responsibilities), STCW VI/3 Advanced Firefighting, STCW A-VI/4.1 Medical First Aid, and a valid STCW I/9 Medical Seafarer MLC.
