Job summary

iPS Powerful People (B Corp™) is seeking a 2nd Engineer for a long-term offshore project in Dutch waters, on a 5:5 rotation. You will join the Chief Engineer and take ownership of day-to-day engine room operations to support safe, reliable vessel performance.

The role covers routine maintenance, inspections, fault finding, and close collaboration with the engineering team to uphold high safety and operational standards.

Short Description

Looking for your next rotation? Join a Non-MLC Barge in Dutch Waters as a 2nd Engineer on a 5:5 rotation.

Working alongside the Chief Engineer, you'll support the vessel's technical operations during a long-term project with multiple rotations. Daily travel to the barge is arranged, with accommodation provided ashore.

Function Description

You’ll be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of engine room machinery while helping maintain the vessel's technical reliability.

• Support troubleshooting and repair activities when equipment issues arise.
• Monitor machinery performance and report technical concerns.

Requirements

This role is suited to an experienced marine engineer who is comfortable working offshore and taking ownership of day-to-day technical responsibilities.

To Join The Project, You’ll Need

• Experience as a 2nd Engineer onboard offshore or marine vessels.
• Valid STCW certification.
• Valid 2nd Engineer Unlimited CoC or equivalent recognised certification.
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and auxiliary systems.
• Experience with engine room maintenance, inspections, and fault finding.
• Eligibility to work within the EU.
• Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, FOET, or HUET are preferred.
