Keysight Technologies in Penang seeks an Energy Manager with strong fire safety experience to oversee energy management, monitoring, and continuous improvement of utility systems. You will lead fire protection activities, inspections, and reporting, coordinating with contractors and internal stakeholders.

The role requires knowledge of Fire Services Act, ISO 50001, and REM/FSO certification readiness, plus excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in utilities, maintenance, facilities, or fire safety.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical utility systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel and report writing.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems, Fire Services Act, UBBL, ISO 50001, and EMEER 2008 is an advantage.
• Existing FSO, FSM, or fire safety training is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willing to complete both REM and FSO certification.
• Able to respond to fire or emergency situations at the site.

Responsibilities

1. Energy Management (Primary)

• Energy monitoring and analysis


• Energy efficiency improvement


• EMEER 2008 compliance


• ISO 50001 and ESG data support


• Stakeholder engagement


• Learning and development with the external REM

1. Fire Safety (FSO)

• Act as the FSO in the company’s Fire Safety Organisation (OKK), reporting to the appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM).


• Carry out routine inspections of fire protection systems (extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarm panels, emergency lighting, exit signs, fire doors) and keep records.


• Coordinate testing and maintenance of fire systems with contractors and follow up on defects.


• Support evacuation plans, fire drills, and fire safety awareness training for employees.


• Help prepare fire safety inspection reports and documentation for Fire Certificate renewal.


• Liaise with Bomba (JBPM) during inspections and audits.


• Report non-compliances and incidents to the FSM and management.


• Complete the FSO certification course and maintain certification as required by JBPM.
