Credit Bureau Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager for Facilities and Fire Safety to lead and optimize the operation, maintenance, and safety of our facilities. The role requires the FSM and expertise in Fire Safety, OSH compliance, and continuous improvement of building services.

  • Minimum Diploma in Fire Safety Management or Engineering with 5 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Facilities Management, building services, and maintenance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems and fire protection systems.
  • Attended a competency course and pass the FSM Level 1 test set by the Director General.
  • Professional certifications in Facilities Management, Building Management, Project Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or Engineering will be an added advantage.
  • Competency in First Aid, Emergency Response, or Incident Command System (ICS) will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee operation, maintenance, and improvement of facilities, building services, utilities, and fire protection systems.
  • Serve as the appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and ensure compliance with the Fire Services Act 1988, Occupational Safety and Health Act 2022, and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes, fire safety management systems, and emergency response procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance for buildings, M&E systems, utilities, and fire protection systems.
  • Manage contractors, consultants, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and contractual compliance.
  • Oversee departmental budgets (OPEX & CAPEX) and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational efficiency and safety.
  • Conduct facilities inspections, fire risk assessments, statutory audits, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage statutory inspections, certifications, licences, and liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance.
  • Organise fire drills, emergency response exercises, fire safety training, and awareness programmes.
  • Investigate facility-related incidents, fire events, and utility disruptions, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support on facilities management, engineering works, renovation projects, contractor management, and business continuity planning.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Facilities & Fire Safety team, including manpower planning, performance management, and competency development.
  • Prepare management reports, monitor KPIs, analyse maintenance performance and utility consumption, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support business operations, sustainability initiatives, and organisational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, occupational safety requirements, and perform any other duties assigned by the Manager, OSHEQF.

Attended a competency course and pass the FSM Level 1 test set by the Director General.

Possess Professional certifications in Facilities Management, Building Management, Project Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or Engineering will be an added advantage.
