Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO Malaysia is seeking an IT support professional to assist the IT Area Manager and Local IT with routine tasks, patching, and equipment setup.

You will monitor requests, meet SLA targets, and seek opportunities to automate or streamline processes, drawing on ITIL knowledge and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT/Computer Science with at least 1 year of IT support/technical support experience.
• Strong ability to gather, monitor and document data.
• Familiar with ITIL framework and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT Area Manager in executing IT tasks for a specific business unit.
• Assist Local IT with routine tasks such as patching and upgrading computers.
• Assist Local IT in setting up computers and managing IT equipment lifecycle.
• Communicate with end users until tasks are resolved to meet targets.
• Responsible for provisioning IT service requests within the agreed SLA.
• Identify opportunities to automate or simplify processes and reduce manual effort.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Assist IT Area Manager in executing IT tasks assigned for a specific business units.

Assist Local IT in executing routine and repetitive tasks such as contacting and pushing end users in patching, upgrading their computers.

Assist Local IT in fulfilling IT tasks that fall under Local IT’s responsibilities such as setting up computer, managing IT equipment and lifecycle of the equipment.

Communicate, follow up with end users until resolution of the tasks given to meet the target given.

Responsible for the provisioning of IT Service Requests within the agreed SLA for local IT.

Focus on both the manual completion of open requests and continuously looking for opportunities to improve the process and remove manual effort in fulfilling requests, either via automation or simplify the process.

What You Need to Succeed

Diploma or Degree in any discipline but with keen interest in IT/Computer with at least a year of IT support or Technical Support experience

Advanced ability to gather, monitor and document data

Understand the ITIL framework

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional IT knowledge will be added advantage: Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, MS Teams, LAN, VPN & Wireless, Antivirus, Windows 11.
