Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Workato Consultant to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integrations for clients in Malaysia. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define architecture and drive production-ready solutions.

The role requires deep hands-on Workato expertise, strong API knowledge, and proficiency in Agile delivery. You will mentor junior consultants and ensure secure, scalable integrations that align with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software development and technology consulting in enterprise environments.
• 6+ years in enterprise integration development using Workato, webMethods, Boomi, MuleSoft or similar.
• Hands-on Workato expertise and integration design skills.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth and webhooks.
• Experience integrating SaaS apps, databases, APIs and enterprise systems.
• Familiar with Git, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand objectives, requirements, scope, priorities, and integration needs.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions, technical workshops, solution walkthroughs, and design discussions.
• Estimate effort, timelines, implementation approach, dependencies, and risks.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy integrations using Workato and other platforms.
• Integrate SaaS applications, APIs, databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate alternatives and recommend integration approaches and patterns.
• Prepare solution design, configuration, deployment, and technical documentation.
• Support UAT, production deployments, defects, and post-production activities.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA, and customer teams.
• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture, security, governance, and standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage risks and dependencies.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to reusable assets.

• 6+ years of enterprise integration development experience using Workato, webMethods, Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar integration platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workato and enterprise integration solution design and development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, webhooks, event-driven architecture, and integration patterns.

• Good understanding of Git/source control, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies, providing regular progress updates.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to reusable assets, best practices, and continuous improvement.
