Job summary

UST USource in Malaysia seeks an experienced Workato Consultant to lead design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions for client projects.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, define integration architecture, and steer technical discussions to ensure scalable, secure, and production-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software development/tech consulting experience in enterprise environments.
• 6+ years of enterprise integration development using Workato, webMethods, Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar.
• Strong hands-on Workato development and integration design.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, webhooks, and patterns.
• Experience integrating SaaS apps, databases, APIs, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of Git, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting across complex multi-system integrations.
• Understanding of integration security, governance and enterprise architecture.
• Hands-on Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand objectives, requirements, scope, priorities, and integration needs.
• Act as the primary technical contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead requirements gathering, workshops, design discussions, and solution walkthroughs.
• Estimate effort, timelines, approach, dependencies and risks.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy integration solutions using Workato and other platforms.
• Integrate SaaS apps, APIs, databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate alternatives and recommend integration patterns.
• Prepare design, configuration, deployment, and operational docs.
• Support UAT, production deployments, defect resolution and post-prod activities.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, BAs, PMs, QA, and customer tech teams.
• Ensure adherence to architecture, security, governance, and standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage risks/issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA teams, and customer technical teams.
• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture, security, integration governance, development, and operational standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies, providing regular progress updates.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to reusable assets, best practices, and continuous improvement.
