Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Workato Consultant to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions for UST clients in Malaysia. You will work with business and technical stakeholders to define architecture, lead technical discussions, and deliver scalable, secure, production-ready integrations.

The role requires deep expertise across integration platforms, REST APIs, and DevOps practices, with hands-on Workato leadership in an Agile/Scrum setting.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software development and technology consulting in enterprise environments.
• 6+ years of enterprise integration development using Workato, webMethods, Boomi, MuleSoft or similar platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workato and integration design and development.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience integrating SaaS apps, databases, APIs, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Good understanding of Git/source control, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving across complex multi-system integrations.
• Understanding of integration security, authentication, enterprise architecture, governance.
• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand objectives, requirements, project scope, priorities, and integration needs.
• Act as the primary technical contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions, technical workshops, solution walkthroughs, and design discussions.
• Estimate effort, timelines, implementation approaches, dependencies, and risks.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy integration solutions using Workato and other platforms.
• Integrate SaaS apps, APIs, databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate technical options and recommend integration approaches and patterns.
• Prepare solution design, configuration, deployment, and operational documentation.
• Support UAT, production deployments, defect resolution, and post-production activities.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, BAs, PMs, QA teams, and customer tech teams.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, security, governance, and standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; provide updates.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to reusable assets and best practices.

• Strong hands-on experience with Workato and enterprise integration solution design and development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, webhooks, event‑driven architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience integrating SaaS applications, databases, APIs, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Good understanding of Git/source control, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
