Job summary

Responsibilities

• To lay floor protection and handle server racks safely at the DC to meet customer requirements.
• To uncrate server racks and comply with company policy.
• To install necessary accessories to server racks before pushing the server rack.
• To install BBU/power whips and position in COLO room.
• To use power tools and operate forklift as required.
• To ensure housekeeping and report incidents promptly.

1.0 Job Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring server rack delivery and maintained as per company requirement. Safe cargo handling required and to ensure delivery of service levels is following company requirements and customer's expectations.

2.0 Job Responsibilities (duties/task)

• To lay floor protection / handling server rack in good & safe handling manner at the DC for delivery to meet the customer requirement and to minimize discrepancy.
• To uncrate server rack from crate and comply to all company policy.
• To unscrew and uninstalled server rack from crate.
• To install necessary accessories to server rack before pushing the server rack.
• To unbox BBU / Power Whips from original carton to dedicated trolley / cart at BBU room.
• To push BBU dedicated trolley / cart in front of COLO room.
• To install BBU into the server rack.
• To comply to all instructions and written Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
• To push server rack until final position in COLO room.
• To screw down the rack stabilizer
• To prepare power tools / necessary equipment for uncrating activity.
• Need to have certified / qualification from authorized body to drive / handle forklift.
• To do housekeeping after delivery is completed.
• Immediate up-date of any incident/accident/breakdown happen during journey/transit.
• Regular checks on the equipment conditions and to advise the superior on maintenance and repair work.
• Valid Driving License.
• Require own transportation; require travel within cities.
• Must be able to speak and write in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Able to work long hours in an ambient temperature warehouse environment
• Must have knowledge on the transport requirement / using power tools / handle forklift and truck specifications in term of capacity/ payload.
