Job summary

Perfex International seeks a skilled welder to fabricate and repair metal components using MIG, TIG and Arc welding. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and ensure high-quality welds per specifications.

You will inspect finished welds, identify defects, and perform necessary repairs while maintaining strict safety practices and a clean, organized workspace in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine job requirements.
• Selecting the correct welding equipment, method, and metal materials for the task.
• Setting up and calibrating welding machines (adjusting voltage, amperage, wire feed).
• Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces to ensure a strong weld.
• Using MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine job requirements.
• Selecting the correct welding equipment, method, and metal materials for the specific task.
• Setting up and calibrating welding machines (e.g., adjusting voltage, amperage, wire feed speed).
• Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces by removing rust, scale, or grease to ensure a strong weld.
• Using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored) to join metal parts.
• Operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Fabricating new metal structures according to specifications.
• Aligning components and clamping pieces into place before welding.
• Inspecting welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with codes and standards.
• Detecting flaws in welds and making repairs.
