Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced welder to fabricate, assemble and install piping systems, steel structures, and mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Welders will perform GTAW (TIG) and SMAW welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting work, while reading drawings to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Minimum 5 years of hands-on welding experience and bilingual communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English are required.

Qualifications

• SPM, Certificate or Diploma in Welding Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of welding, piping, fitting or mechanical fabrication experience.
• Hands-on GTAW (TIG) and SMAW welding with oxy cutting and grinding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems, steel structures, and mechanical components according to drawings and specs.
• Perform GTAW (TIG) and SMAW welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting work.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure on-time, accurate completion.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good condition; report defects.
• Follow site safety requirements and use PPE properly.

About you

SPM, Certificate or a Diploma in Welding Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, piping, fitting, or mechanical fabrication

Hands‑on skill in GTAW (TIG) and SMAW welding, with knowledge of oxy cutting and grinding

Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical specifications accurately

Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English

Experience in piping works on construction or industrial sites

Own transport and a valid driving licence
