Job summary

Acolite Holding is seeking an experienced welder to prepare, weld, and inspect components in compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires hands-on welding across various positions and securing parts for final assembly.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of welding experience, a valid B2 or D driving license, and flexibility to start immediately. Knowledge of working with steel and adherence to safety protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs.
• Arrange welded parts in order before final assembly.
• Follow all safe work practices.
• Obtain parts and materials.
• Access the area to be welded by climbing a ladder.
• Use a disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
• Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment and join edges of the workpiece.
• Maintain arc length and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead.
• Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.

Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner, and that all safety devices are in use for welding work. Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead. Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product. Operating other accessory equipment and performing tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs. Control the processes of fitting and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage of spare parts. Examine finished products and spare parts and compare them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs, such as screen, shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, or other welding equipment

Arrange and ensure welded parts are arranged in order before being assembled into final products, using tools such as a square, caliper, or ruler

Follow all safe work practices

Obtain parts and materials

Access the area to be welded by climbing a ladder if needed

Use a disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding

Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from the electrode to the workpiece and joining edges of the workpiece

Maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead

Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)

Examine weld for bead size and other specifications

About you

2+ years of work experience in Welding

Minimum SPM or high school diploma or equivalent

Has a driving license B2 or D

Preferable work experience with Steel

Able to start work immediately or with short notice is preferred

Able to travel is an advantage

Able to work on Sundays and public holidays is an advantage
