Job summary

AMETECH Industries SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a welder/fabricator to join the production team. You will fabricate parts and structures using aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel, and perform TIG or MIG welding as required.

You will read drawings, measure, cut, grind and tack weld with grinders, cutters and drills. Safety and 5S discipline are essential, with PPE such as welding shields and gloves required at all times.

Qualifications

• Welding using TIG or MIG processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Measuring and cutting to specifications.
• Tack welding to assemble parts.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate small to large parts/structures from aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel.
• Weld using TIG or MIG according to drawings and specs.
• Direct helpers in welding process and ensure safety standards.

Responsible for fabrication of small/large piece part/structure with material such as aluminium, mild steel & stainless steel, welding using TIG or MIG process.

Execute work according to work instruction, standard procedure and requirements in drawing by reading drawing, measuring, cutting, grinding and tack welding by using various power tools and equipment such as grinders, cutters, drills, etc.

Fulfilling drawings specification by carry out welding on parts and structure.

To direct activities of personnel helping or assisting in the welding process.

Logon and Logoff job, detect and report line down and defective parts/materials in Infohub portal.

Follow safety regulations such as wearing PPE like heat-resistant gloves, welding shield and safety shoes.

Support production 5S by keep work station clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment.

Allad-hoc assignments as and when required by the management from time to time.
