Job summary

Darco Water Systems Sdn. Bhd., based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, is seeking a Project Engineer (Water Treatment) to oversee water treatment projects from planning through commissioning.

You will collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to meet technical, quality, cost, and schedule targets. The role requires a civil/chemical/environmental/mechanical engineering degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with strong AutoCAD skills and Mandarin-English communication abilities

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in water treatment, wastewater or environmental engineering.
• Experience managing water treatment projects from design to commissioning.
• Knowledge of filtration, membrane systems, RO/UF and chemical treatment.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software.
• English and Mandarin communication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee water treatment projects from design through commissioning.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine requirements.
• Prepare proposals, technical drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and services per specs and schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with drawings and safety/quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot project issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and ensure water quality.
• Prepare progress reports and handover documentation.
