Job summary

AGRO SNOW SDN BHD in Malaysia seeks a Wastewater Technician to operate and monitor the factory's wastewater/effluent treatment system, ensuring treated discharge meets statutory and environmental requirements.

You will monitor pumps, dosing systems, pH, flow and other parameters; collect samples, maintain records, and assist with preventive maintenance and safety procedures. Shift work is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years wastewater-treatment experience preferred.
• Experience with industrial effluent treatment systems is an advantage.
• Willing to work shifts.
• Familiar with pumps, dosing systems, and basic water-quality testing.
• Adherence to safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater and effluent-treatment equipment.
• Monitor pumps, blowers, tanks, dosing systems and treatment processes.
• Check pH, flow, chemical dosing and other operating parameters.
• Collect wastewater samples and perform basic testing.
• Record daily treatment parameters and chemical consumption.
• Carry out routine cleaning and equipment inspections.
• Identify abnormalities and report them to the Waste Water Engineer.
• Assist with sludge handling and scheduled-waste activities where required.
• Maintain chemical stock and ensure safe chemical handling.
• Support preventive maintenance of WTP/WWTP equipment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and company procedures.
