Hakshan is seeking a reliable Warehouse Storekeeper in Kuala Lumpur to receive, store, issue, and dispatch goods accurately. You will maintain up-to-date inventory records and support timely order fulfilment in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires basic numeracy, computer skills, and experience with inventory software or Excel. You will work safely, follow procedures, and cooperate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams.
We are looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Storekeeper to receive, store, issue, and dispatch goods accurately. The successful candidate will maintain up-to-date inventory records, support timely order fulfilment, and keep the warehouse safe, clean, and well organised.
Receiving goods. Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documents. Verify item descriptions, quantities, and condition, and promptly report shortages, damage, or incorrect items.
Storage and organisation. Label goods and place them in designated storage locations. Maintain clear location records and follow the storage requirements for each product.
Inventory records. Record all receipts, issues, transfers, and returns promptly in the inventory system. Maintain accurate documentation so stock movements can be traced.
Picking and dispatch. Pick, check, pack, and issue goods against authorised orders or requisitions. Prepare dispatch documents and coordinate collection or delivery with the relevant team.
Stock counts. Carry out routine cycle counts and periodic stocktakes. Compare physical quantities with system balances, investigate differences, and submit discrepancies for review before any stock adjustment.
Stock condition and availability. Monitor stock levels and report items approaching reorder levels. Identify slow-moving, damaged, or expired stock, and apply first-in, first-out or first-expiry, first-out rotation as appropriate.
Safety and housekeeping. Keep aisles, storage areas, and emergency exits clear. Follow safe handling procedures and use required protective equipment. Operate forklifts or other powered equipment only when trained and authorised, with any locally required certification.
Coordination and reporting. Work with purchasing, sales, operations, and finance to resolve stock or delivery issues. Report safety hazards, equipment faults, and suspected stock losses promptly.
A secondary school qualification or equivalent is preferred. At least one year of relevant warehouse, storekeeping, or inventory experience is preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
Candidates should have basic numeracy and computer skills and be able to check stock codes and quantities accurately. Experience with inventory software, barcode scanners, or Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
The successful candidate will be dependable, attentive to detail, and able to follow procedures while working cooperatively with others.
