Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a Materials Handler in Penang to receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, organize storage, and pick and pack orders with precision. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Materials Handler or similar warehouse role in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Strong physical fitness and ability to lift, carry and move heavy items regularly throughout the day
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to read labels, documentation and inventory systems
• A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative warehouse environment
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous
• Relevant certifications such as forklift operation certification would be highly valued

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and record incoming materials and products to ensure accuracy and quality standards
• Organise and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse, maintaining clear labelling and documentation
• Pick and pack items according to customer orders and shipping requirements with precision and efficiency
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling machinery in a safe manner
• Load and unload trucks, containers and other transport vehicles, ensuring materials are secured appropriately
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular stock counts and audits
• Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimise workplace incidents and hazards
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and operational deadlines
