Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
• Proven track record of managing warehouse teams and achieving operational targets.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory control software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and despatch.
• Supervise and train warehouse staff, with performance management and development.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
• Implement and maintain health, safety procedures in line with regulations.
• Optimise warehouse layout and storage systems for space and efficiency.
• Monitor costs including labour, equipment maintenance and utilities.
• Ensure SOPs and quality standards are followed across all operations.
• Coordinate with logistics, transport and manufacturing teams for seamless operations.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions to reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance and KPIs to senior management.

Katrin BJ Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to join our team at our facility in UEP Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead and optimise warehouse operations for a growing manufacturing, transport and logistics organisation. As Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse management, from inventory control and staff supervision to health and safety compliance and process improvement. This role is crucial to ensuring efficient, cost-effective operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of service delivery to our clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and despatch of goods
• Manage and supervise warehouse staff, providing training, performance management and development opportunities
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and minimise discrepancies
• Implement and maintain warehouse safety procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
• Optimise warehouse layout and storage systems to maximise space utilisation and operational efficiency
• Monitor and control warehouse costs, including labour, equipment maintenance and utilities
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and quality standards across all warehouse operations
• Liaise with logistics, transport and manufacturing teams to coordinate seamless operations
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance metrics and KPIs to senior management
• Manage warehouse equipment maintenance and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience within manufacturing, transport or logistics environments
• Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse teams and achieving operational targets
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• In-depth understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance requirements
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
• Familiarity with logistics, supply chain management and transport coordination is highly desirable
• Certification in warehouse management, logistics or relevant professional qualifications is advantageous
• A commitment to continuous improvement and a keen eye for operational efficiency
