Job summary

Flex is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Manager to lead receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations in Prai or Batu Kawan, Penang. You will implement policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive security and efficiency across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with at least 10 years of related experience, and a track record of managing inventory, budgets, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices. Master’s degree preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by coordinating programs, policies, and staff.
• Ensures compliance with local warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations.
• Protects warehouse assets by establishing and enforcing security procedures.
• Controls inventory through physical counts and data reconciliation.
• Maintains warehouse condition by planning layouts and inspecting equipment.
• Supports budgeting by preparing and tracking annual expenditures and variances.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Warehouse Manager located in Prai or Batu Kawan, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule.
• Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
• Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
• Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
• Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciling records.
