Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution in Prai or Batu Kawan, Penang. You will ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and efficient operations to support product delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with extensive purchasing knowledge, and a preference for a Master’s degree, plus 10+ years in related roles. Competitive benefits are offered including health coverage and PTO.

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule.
• Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
• Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
• Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
• Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciling records.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
