Job summary

Asialink Cargo & Packing Agency Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is seeking a motivated and organised Operation Assistant on a contract basis to support day-to-day operations and client services.

You will handle administrative tasks for the operations team, assist with cargo shipments and packing services, prepare invoices and waybills, and collaborate with the sales team to strengthen client relationships while driving continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a similar admin or customer service role, preferably in logistics.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Able to work in a team and contribute to a positive environment.
• Knowledge of logistics including customs regulations is a plus.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and organised Operation Assistant to join our dynamic team at Asialink Cargo & Packing Agency Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (KKIP). This is a contract position that will play a crucial role in supporting our day-to-day operations and client services.

What you'll be doing

• Provide administrative support to the operations team, including handling customer inquiries, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records
• Assist with the coordination of cargo shipments and packing services, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service
• Help with the preparation of documentation, such as invoices, waybills, and customs clearance forms
• Collaborate with the sales team to support client relationships and address any concerns or issues
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures
• Perform other administrative duties as required to support the overall success of the business

What we're looking for

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar administrative or customer service role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
• Knowledge of the logistics industry, including customs regulations and procedures, would be an advantage
