BAOSTEEL CAN MAKING (MALAYSIA) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to manage warehouse operations, prepare and issue DOs, verify item details, and ensure accurate stock picking and release. You will monitor stock balances, conduct physical checks, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain documentation.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
• Good attention to detail when checking quantities and product information.
• Able to perform physical stock counting and warehouse duties.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Delivery Orders (DO) based on approved customer orders and delivery instructions.
• Verify item descriptions, product codes, quantities, and other details before issuing DOs.
• Ensure correct stock is picked and released according to the DO.
• Monitor and maintain accurate stock balances in the warehouse and inventory system.
• Perform regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Record all stock movements promptly (receiving, issuing, transferring, returning).
• Conduct stock counting and assist with periodic stock takes and audits.
• Maintain documentation for all stock transactions and deliveries.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages, or warehouse issues to supervisor.
• Keep the warehouse organized to facilitate picking and dispatch.

Job description

This role involves managing warehouse operations, including preparing and issuing Delivery Orders, verifying item details, ensuring correct stock picking and release, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will monitor stock balances, conduct physical stock checks, reconcile discrepancies, record all stock movements, and assist with periodic stock takes and audits. The role requires maintaining proper documentation, reporting warehouse issues, and keeping the warehouse organized for efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and issue Delivery Orders (DO) based on approved customer orders and delivery instructions

Verify item descriptions, product codes, quantities, and other relevant details before issuing DOs

Ensure the correct stock is picked and released according to the DO

Monitor and maintain accurate stock balances in the warehouse and inventory system

Perform regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records

Ensure all stock movements, including receiving, issuing, transferring, and returning goods, are recorded accurately and promptly

Conduct stock counting and assist with periodic stock takes and inventory audits

Maintain proper documentation for all stock transactions and deliveries

Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages, or other warehouse issues to the supervisor promptly

Keep the warehouse organized to facilitate efficient stock identification, picking, and dispatch

About you

Previous warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience is an advantage

Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
