Job summary

Wei Dat Steel Wire in Ipoh, Perak is seeking a Store & Logistics Assistant to support daily operations. You will assist the supervisor in store and logistics activities, perform receiving, storing and distributing duties, and ensure accurate counting, weighing and issuing of goods.

You will maintain clerical records, prepare consignments, identify goods, report damages to QC, operate hand trucks or forklifts, and help with stock control and area cleanliness in compliance with company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in daily store and logistics activities.
• Perform receiving, storing and distributing for all products.
• Check incoming or outgoing items by counting, measuring and weighing.
• Maintain related clerical records and prepare consignments.
• Identify goods and rejects; report shortages to QC before release.
• Operate hand truck or forklift to move goods to storage.
• May also receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment.
• Stock control and record updates on stock lists.
• Keep the work area clean and comply with company rules and procedures.
• Report any equipment or process malfunction to supervisor.

• Assist Supervisor in daily store and logistic activities.


• Perform receiving, storing, distributing activities for all products.


• Checking incoming or outgoing by such methods as counting, measuring, weighing, issuing and requisitioning items.


• Responsible for keeping related clerical records, gathering, sorting packed items for shipment, manually addressing and affixing consignment note to the packages, unpacking and storing incoming shipments.


• Responsible for identification of goods and rejects damaged items, record shortages and corresponds with QC department before releasing the products loading into lorry.


• Operate hand truck or forklift to move and receiving products to storage area.


• May also received damaged or defective goods return to establishment.


• Responsible for stock control and take the measurement and record on stock list.


• Clean and maintain work area.


• Complies with company rules and procedures, work instructions.


• Reports any equipment or process malfunction to superior.
