Qualifications

• Must possess Bachelor in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university.
• Member of Malaysian Occupational Therapist Association.
• Preferably with 2 years working experience in a tertiary hospital.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and provide appropriate treatment based on patients’ functional needs.
• Manage an assigned clinical caseload and develop individualised treatment plans to improve patients’ functional abilities and independence.
• Provide rehabilitation and functional training for patients with various conditions, including neurological, developmental, paediatric, geriatric and medical conditions.
• Assess and train patients in activities of daily living (ADLs), including self-care, mobility and functional activities.
• Recommend and provide appropriate assistive devices, adaptive equipment, splinting and pressure garments where required.
• Educate patients, caregivers and family members on therapy programmes, home exercises, safety and strategies to promote independence.
• Monitor patients’ progress and evaluate treatment outcomes, making appropriate clinical decisions with support from senior staff where required.
