Job summary

ARC Group in Malaysia seeks an experienced Vice President, Investment Banking Coverage to build senior client relationships, develop M&A and Capital Markets opportunities, and convert them into mandates for the firm. You will work closely with the local Partner and origination team, progressing qualified opportunities generated by junior bankers while expanding your own pipeline.

Candidates may come from either M&A or Capital Markets backgrounds; strong local networks and origination track

Qualifications

7 to 12+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, Capital Markets.
Strong business development and client relationship management experience.
Track record of originating or converting M&A or Capital Markets opportunities.
Strong commercial judgement and ability to work independently.
Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Originate M&A, Capital Markets and strategic advisory opportunities in Malaysia.
Build and maintain relationships with founders, chairmen, shareholders, corporates and senior decision-makers.
Use an established local network to generate new business opportunities.
Take forward qualified leads generated by the local origination team.
Lead client discussions and convert opportunities into mandates.
Manage an active pipeline with responsibility for mandate conversion and revenue generation.
Work with ARC's execution teams as mandates progress.
