Job summary

Deutsche Bank AG in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Head of Cash Operations to oversee cash processing and payment services, drive transformation, and lead risk and cost control within a regulated framework.

The role emphasizes recruiting and developing a high-performing team, collaborating across Operations and other branches, and ensuring strong governance and vendor management. English fluency is required, with long-tenured banking expertise being essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant banking experience with knowledge and experience of working in an operations environment.
• Deep Experience in Cash Operations and payment function is a must along with familiar with local regulations.
• A high degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
• Innovative approach to work (eg. Design thinking) and continuously identify and implement process improvements.
• Actively utilise bank approved AI, automation, and digital tools to improve processing efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
• Proactively identify opportunities where AI or automation can streamline operational processes and elevate ideas through appropriate governance channels.
• Structured & determined approach to work, a willingness to take ownership of problems and an effective communicator/presenter.

Responsibilities

• Manage/ Supervise Cash Operations function and processes.
• Oversee development and execution of objectives, plans and policies within an operational context.
• Translate business strategy/requirements into operational plans & ensure that new capabilities/services required by the business are delivered.
• Proactively collaborate with all colleagues across other Operations, Business and other branches.
• Drive continuous improvement activities for area of accountability leading to operational efficiencies.
• Responsible for all Audits, Regulatory reporting and Compliance with all internal & external regulations.
• Manage an environment in which all people can develop and apply their talents.
• Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports and others in the organization.
