Job summary

Capitol Prosper, Malaysia, is seeking a skilled Visual Merchandiser to design window and in-house displays, using CAD tools and creative suites to translate briefs into visuals.

You will collaborate with mall management, A&P and leasing teams, ensure timely delivery, manage budgets, and adapt displays to trends and event themes across the chain.

Experience with AutoCAD, Mockshop, and Adobe Creative Suite is valued; strong communication and project coordination are essential.

Qualifications

i. Responsible to design the window and in-house displays by:

• a. using artistic skills or computer-aided design (CAD) packages, such as AutoCAD, Mockshop or Adobe Creative Suite to create visuals and plans;
• b. discussing the brief with the superior and mall’s management and identifying the key messages to convey or present, and to revise designs according to direction, guidelines and feedback from mall’s management;
• c. assisting A&P and leasing teams with creative visual, displays and collaterals such as promo signs, advertisement and/or other graphic related works;
• d. researching to get an understanding of what is needed and coming up with design ideas, images and graphics to synchronise with the event’s themes by keeping close to deadline;
• e. conducting research on current and future trends in design and lifestyle, and associated target market features;
• f. liaising with teams such as buying, design and marketing to create design themes and plans, often months in advance;
• g. working within the budget given to source elements such as fabrics, lighting, props and accessories, and to negotiate with suppliers of suitable visual materials at the best cost;
• h. working with architectural features of shopping mall to maximise and enhance the mall’s image and value;
• i. seeking feedback from superior, colleagues and customers on the visual impact of displays and implementing changes;

ii. Responsible to create the window and in-house displays by:

• a. completing the displays and abide to tight deadlines;
• b. ensuring the quality of the production of the chosen design and making sure the project is completed ahead of schedule;
• c. arranging and monitoring for the displays to be transported to and from display location;
• d. assembling visual displays both internal and external of shopping mall;
• e. dismantling and storing visual displays when not in use;
• f. preparing visual merchandising packs, including plans and photographs, for other stores in the chain, to make sure all displays present a consistent image;

• a. Maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of fixtures, signages, lights and equipments.
• b. Ensure all correspondence and documentations being properly maintained and updated.
• c. Execute all other duties relating to the Management of the Shopping Mall as and when directed by the Company.
