Aleph Labs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks a creative Visual Design Intern to turn brand concepts into eye-catching social assets for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more. This hands-on role offers portfolio-building work and real-world creative strategy experience with potential for a full-time position.

You’ll collaborate with our Creative team, learn digital design fundamentals, and deliver on-brand visuals across channels while developing motion graphics and short-form video

Qualifications

• Portfolio or work samples showcasing digital design, social media content, or short-form video projects.
• Solid understanding of basic digital design principles, visual hierarchy, typography, and content creation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design static posts, carousels, stories, infographics, and ad creative tailored for social media platforms.
• Edit short clips, micro-animations, GIFs, and video templates for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Ensure all visuals align with brand guidelines and voice.
• Brainstorm concepts with social media and marketing teams for launches and campaigns.
• Format, crop, and export assets per platform specifications and best practices.
• Monitor visual trends and design styles across channels.

We are looking for a creative, energetic Visual Design Intern to support our Creative team. In this role, you’ll turn brand concepts into eye-catching digital assets across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more. This is a hands‑on opportunity to build your portfolio, gain real‑world creative strategy experience, and see your designs reach a live audience daily. We are looking for people who are curious, open, eager to learn and to eventually grow with us. Based on your performance, there is potential for a full time position in the future as well.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Design static posts, carousels, stories, infographics, and ad creative tailored for specific social media platforms.
• Short-Form Video & Motion Graphics: Assist in editing short clips, micro-animations, GIFs, and video templates for Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual output aligns with company brand guidelines, visual identity, and voice.
• Campaign Collaboration: Brainstorm visual concepts alongside the social media and marketing teams for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and trending topics.
• Asset Optimization: Format, crop, and export design assets according to platform specifications and best practices.
• Trend Tracking: Keep an eye on visual trends, formatting changes, and viral design styles across visual media channels.

Prerequisites

• Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field. Must be available for an internship duration of 3 months or above.
• A portfolio or work samples showcasing digital design, graphic layouts, social media content, or short-form video projects.
• Solid understanding of basic digital design principles, visual hierarchy, typography, and content creation workflows. Experience with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, Canva, or CapCut is a plus.
• Strong passion for social media platforms, mobile apps, and emerging media technologies.
• Ability to actively participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh, creative content ideas.
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strong desire to learn, grow, and adapt in digital marketing and visual design.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment, and the ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
