Aleph is seeking a senior UI/UX design lead to drive user-focused solutions across applications and interfaces. You will guide a team of designers, collaborate with engineers and product managers, and shape the overall design strategy with a strong emphasis on usability and aesthetics.

You will conduct user interviews, usability studies, and stakeholder research to inform design decisions, while ensuring consistency and high quality across products in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong presentation skills and client-facing experience.
• Knowledge of user research, usability testing and prototyping.
• Proficient in design tools: SketchApp, Photoshop, Keynote, etc.
• Clear understanding of whitespace and design principles.
• Creative, meticulous, and quality-focused with a sense of motion choreography.

Job description

The designer is responsible for developing and driving design solutions (process flows, sketches, scenarios, wireframes, navigation models, visual design) for applications, software, and other forms of interfaces. In this role, you will take an active and hands-on role in supporting the creative, engineering and project/account management teams. You will also work closely with clients and be responsible for conducting user and stakeholder research activities including user interviews, ideation sessions, usability studies and other user research techniques to inform a human-centred design for the project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of UI/UX designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovative thinking and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather user requirements.
• Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
• Explore various design approaches to solve specific user problems.
• Producing high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Collaborating with the marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.
• Implement the latest design innovations to ensure that the product is in accordance with cutting-edge technology.
• Define user task flows and interaction models.
• Create a cohesive style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product.
• Conduct user research.
• Create user personas.
• Conduct customer and competitor analysis.
• Establish design principles and guidelines to maintain a cohesive and recognizable design language across products.
• Optimises UI designs and tests for intuitiveness and user-centeredness.
• Conduct usability testing to identify gaps in design and see if they can be further improved.

Prerequisites

You have a strong interest in all aspects of design and its impact on the world around you, and share a passion for making digital experiences simple, meaningful and elegant. As an experienced designer, you will participate and lead world-class projects, and enjoy collaborating with peers and clients alike to solve complex design problems.

• You have 4+ years of experience.
• Proven experience as a UI/UX designer with leadership responsibilities.
• You have excellent presentation skills.
• You have user research, usability testing and prototyping knowledge.
• You are proficient in design tools (E.g. SketchApp, Photoshop, Keynote, etc)
• You have a clear understanding and love for white-space and all that jazz (design principles).
• You are wildly creative, meticulous and addicted to the quality of craft.
• You should have a good sense of motion choreography; able to know how to use animation tools like Principle.
