About the role

Clients book a video shoot when they need footage they cannot film themselves. The videographer films on location, then edits the footage into finished short videos.

Most of it is short and vertical: ads, Reels, a testimonial, a walkthrough of a shop or clinic. The video editor role is different: it works remotely on footage that clients send in.

This role is open on a rolling basis, so applications are read as they arrive rather than after a closing date.

Questions about this role

Video shoots take place at client premises in Penang and Kuala Lumpur. You reach the location yourself with your own equipment. The shot list and the time are agreed with you before the day, so you can plan the setup.

The videographer films on location and edits that footage into finished videos. The video editor works remotely and only edits footage that clients send in.

Yes, you bring your own camera, microphone and basic lighting, and Seed Light does not supply equipment.

Vertical ads and Reels are more useful to see than weddings or long corporate films, since those are what clients book.
