Job summary

CHOP YEW LEE PETROLEUM SDN BHD is seeking a Video Editor / Content Creator Assistant to craft engaging videos and tell stories across social platforms.

You will plan and edit video content, manage social media channels, brainstorm marketing content, and support events. Mandarin fluency is mandatory, and basic camera skills plus Canva/CapCut/Photoshop/Illustrator familiarity are a plus. Training is provided, and you will work with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum SP M or Diploma in Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field.
• Fluent in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients (spoken & written).
• Basic camera handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Video Production: Plan, shoot and edit videos for campaigns and social media.

Video Editor & Content Creator Assistant

We’re looking for a creative storyteller who loves video editing and social media to join our growing team as a Video Editor / Content Creator.

What You’ll Do：

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Production

Plan, shoot and edit videos for marketing campaigns, company activities and social media platforms.

Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram Reels, XiaoHongShu (XHS) and other social media platforms.

Add music, subtitles, transitions, effects and trending elements to enhance video quality and audience engagement.

Ensure all videos are completed and submitted on time.

2. Social Media Management

Assist in managing and updating the company's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, XiaoHongShu, Shopee, Lazada, Website, etc.).

Schedule and publish posts, photos and videos.

Respond to customer comments and direct messages.

3. Content Creation

Assist in brainstorming, planning and producing creative content for marketing campaigns, promotions and branding.

Work closely with the team to generate new content ideas based on current trends.

4. Event & Marketing Support

Assist in coordinating and executing company events, exhibitions, seminars, CSR activities, team-building programmes and marketing campaigns.

Capture photos and videos during events for promotional purposes.

Prepare PowerPoint presentations for meetings, training and business proposals.

Perform ad-hoc assignments and provide creative support as assigned by the superior.

Key Requirements:

MinimumSPM or Diplomain Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field

Basic skills in camera handling (photo & video shooting)
